Buying from Potters

Most people tend to bid with us using our live online platforms. It’s just like being at the sale, but in the comfort of your own home or office. It is simple and easy to bid with us; simply register at Easy Live Auction or The Saleroom. You may well become a regular online bidder!

It is, of course, possible to leave absentee bids with us in person on our viewing day for existing clients. New bidders should bid in the first instance on one of our three online platforms. Please contact us for details.

Local bidders can collect their items on the next working day following the auction, typically from 10am on the Monday after the auction. Bidders from outside the local area are welcome to collect in person or use our in-house packing and shipping service for smaller items. We take great care to ensure your items are packed safely and securely, ready for delivery by post or courier.

Kindly be aware that item collection is not possible on auction days, and the Saleroom will be closed to the public during these times. We also ask that you avoid calling us on auction days to prevent any disruption to the auction. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Please note that we are unable to provide packing and shipping services for large quantities of delicate items such as ceramics and glass. For these, we recommend either collecting in person or arranging for a courier service.

Other delicate items, including mirrors and glass-framed pictures, may also need to be couriered or collected. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are unsure about your options.

Due to the ongoing rise in costs and availability of time, we no longer provide an in-house delivery service for large furniture. However, we can recommend local and national courier services – please call us for details.

Before bidding on items at auction, please be aware of our delivery and shipping policies, as all winning bids are binding.
